RESCUE EDUCATION has been commissioned by the State of California, Department of Aging, to provide FREE training classes to Senior Citizens on how to best use the 911 System! This is part of the Department of Aging's Long-Term Care Innovation Grant Program.
WHY THIS TRAINING IS SO IMPORTANT:
Just in Los Angeles alone, 200,000 calls to 911 went unanswered last year! In addition, seniors often get a delayed or improper response from their 911 calls because they don't know how the 911 System works, including how to get around its inherent flaws!
Rescue Education will be conducting 90-minute training sessions geared specifically for senior citizens on how the 911 System works, what to say when 911 is answered in many different situations, and when to use 911 rather than a non-emergency line.
The training sessions will including lecture, audio/visual aids, and hand-outs (including a placard for use by the phone). Since it is a live presentation, there will also be an extensive question and answer period.
Thanks to the California Department Of Aging, the training will be FREE of charge to all seniors!
